Partners

My partner and I are The Dragonflies. We have many different roles between us that we decided who the best person was for that job. The main thing about working in a team is that you learn something about yourself and about the other person that is in your team. The greatest challenge about collaborative work is that you have to slow down to work with the other person and you have to listen and decide on ideas together.

Playing Games

We have finally finished the mini game project and posted it to our wiki pages.I am so glad that the mini game is finished because it was kind of complicated.The kind of games I play in my free time are hidden object games and someitmes I play adventure games and puzzles.My favorite games are the Mystery Case Files, I like them because they are hidden object games and they have puzzles too.They are interesting and fun to play.No the mini game project didn't give me a new perspective on games, I still see them the way that I always have.I just think they are a fun way to past time and occupy you. 

Progress and Feelings

Gloabaloria class has been going pretty good, it's harder now that we're in the mini game project because it's kind of confusing.  Even though sometimes it has its complications, it's going by fast.I'm still a little unsure about this class because I'm not a big fan of computers but other than that I guess its an ok class.Computers can be complicated especially if you have no idea how to work one.The mini game project is so confusing because it has all of these codes that you HAVE to get right or else nothing will work and you have to do it over again.

Goals

I know I am just now getting to this one but I'm not really sure what personal goals I have.I guess one would be is to learn something new (atleast) everyday.Another one would be to stay focused on what I am doing.The third...actually knowing and understanding what I am doing.The last one would be do everything I need to in class everyday.Two bad habits that I have are not paying attention to what I'm doing and not asking questions.I never really pay full attention to what I'm doing so I mess up a lot and I don't ask questions (in any of my classes sometimes) so I wait for someone else to ask that question or I just stay confused.

Starting the Minigame Template

Now in class we have just started to work on the minigame template because of all the snowdays and the break.It looks like it won't be very hard but it might be confusing for a while.There's a lot to do on it with the carrot,mushrooms,wolf,and bunny. You have to make a movie clip with each of them I think.It will really each us how to create a game.It is also time consuming because you have to pay close attention to everything that you do on it.

What I Learned From The Brain Pop Video

What I learned from the Brain Pop Videos were about internet safety,blogging, and what the internet is about.I learned some of the letter abbreviations for some of the words dealing with the internet like ip and dsn.For internet safety I know that I should keep all of my personal information to myself and if I wanted to sign up for a website or something similar to that I know I need to be careful of what I put on there still.For blogging I know that it is a webpage that is written in journal form, and that there is many different types of blogs.There are some blogs for music,science,art,and cooking.My plan for keeping my learning log updated is to make sure that everyday I make time to update it with what I did that day in class.

Christmas Vacation

Over Christmas Vacation I did'nt do much. Like everyone I woke up Christmas morning and opened presents.During the week after Christmas I visited with family and shopped.Its hard to tell how many movies I watch over break.I didn't really stay in touch with my friends because I figured they were busy with family.For New Years nothing happened, it was like a regular day but I did stay up to see the ball drop.It was the first time I had ever seen it (or heard of it). I just can't believe it's another year already.
